Transportation
1. Arrival by plane
If you are flying to Hangzhou from other parts of the world and China, you will arrive at Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport, where you can catch a taxi or airport shuttle bus to the downtown area. For students who transfer plane from Shanghai, it is the utmost convenient, most visitors arrive by train, coach, taxi or rental car from Shanghai, as the distance is so short that there are no flights between Hangzhou and Shanghai.

2. From Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport to city center of Hangzhou:
By airport shuttle:
The waiting room for the shuttle bus is near the north of Entrance 5 at the Arrival Hall on the first floor. The shuttle takes passengers to Wulin Gate stop at downtown Hangzhou.

Ticket prices: 20 yuan. Operation hours: 7:30am-9:30pm, intervals at 30 minutes. 9:30am-5pm, intervals at 15 minutes. (Note: intervals refer to the waiting time from the first passenger boarding the bus.).

By cab:
The cab stand is located outside Entrance 5 to the Arrival Hall on the first level. Cab fare should not be more than 100 yuan from Hangzhou Xiaoshan International Airport to downtown Hangzhou.

Fare: Basic at 11 yuan (10 yuan for the first 3km and additional 1 yuan for fuel fee). For distance within 10km, the rate is 2 yuan/km; for distance above 10km, the rate is 3 yuan/km. The waiting charge is 2 yuan/5 minutes.
