At the invitation of Professor Miltios-Asanasio Dimopos, President of the University of Athens in Greece, and Professor Martypaavo Salen, President of the University of Applied Science and Technology in Kaiani, Finland, Lv Chuanyi, Secretary of SDUT’s Party Committee, and his delegation visited the University of Athens, the Cami Campus of the Lapland University of Applied Science and Technology, and the Kaiani University of Applied Science and Technology from May 5 to 11.

Lv Chuanyi and his delegation held a conversion with President Dimopos, Vice President Kostas Presselis, and Helen Karamalungu, Dean of the School of Philosophy at the University of Athens. The two parties reached an agreement on the comprehensive promotion of teacher-student exchanges and cross-cultural cooperation, nailing down the details of scientific and academic exchanges, such as the preparation of the next bilateral academic forum and the publication of the proceedings of academic conferences.

At the Cami Campus of Lapland University of Applied Science and Technology, Lv Chuanyi and his delegation introduced the basic situation and features of SDUT, and listened to the host's introductions to the engineering education, R&D and entrepreneurship, and the international strategy and cooperation. The two sides conducted in-depth discussions on engineering disciplines, innovation and entrepreneurship exchanges and cooperation, reaching a consensus on the future cooperative modes and fields.  

Lv Chuanyi and his delegation visited the campus, international student dormitories, and the Intelligent Fitness Center while visiting the Kaiani University of Applied Science and Technology. The two parties agreed to continue to carry out short-term courses in business and innovation and entrepreneurship on the basis of the upcoming Arctic Mining summer school in the conversation between Secretary Lv with President Sharon, so as to further deepen the exchanges and cooperation.

Mayor Jerry Doloning held a conversation with Lv Chuanyi and his delegation in Lv’s visit to Kaiani City. And the two sides exchanged views on the cooperation between local universities and their corresponding cities, expressing their common desire to further strengthen exchanges and promote the school-city cooperation between the two sides.

On behalf of SDUT, Lv Chuanyi signed cooperation agreements with the University of Athens, the Lapland University of Applied Science and Technology, and the Kaiani University of Applied Science and Technology, agreeing to carry out the all-round cooperation and exchanges with all these universities concerned to promote substantive exchanges and cooperation.
