SWUN’s Cooperation Talks with Daiwa Academy Japanese Language

Date: April 5, 2016

On the morning of March 16, 2015, Ms. Liu Yanjun, Vice President and Representative of Daiwa Academy Japanese Language on China Affairs visited SWUN. SWUN's Assistant President Li Gengnian and relevant staff of the university's Office of International Cooperation met with the visiting guest at the International Students Building on Wuhou Campus.

At the meeting, both sides expressed their full recognition of the fruitful cooperation over the years and had in-depth discussion and exchanges on such issues as faculty exchange programs, joint training of students and short-term study tours, and the 2016 inter-school student thesis defense for exchange students. On the basis of past cooperation, both sides hoped to push the cooperation to a greater height, and make it cover a broader scope and reach a greater depth, in an attempt to make new breakthroughs in such areas as overseas credential programs and Japanese language training program for the university's students.

Daiwa Academy Japanese Language, situated in Sakai of the second largest city Osaka in Japan, was founded in October 2006 and was recognized by the Education Office of the Consulate-General of the People's Republic of China in Osaka. Daiwa Academy Japanese Language has signed cooperation agreements with a number of Chinese universities and has jointly established with these universities some uniquely-featured bases for graduate-examination training and enterprise internship. Daiwa Academy Japanese Language has cooperated with SWUN as a strategic partner for many years, and the two sides have jointly trained nearly 60 inter-school exchange students.
