A Communist Party of China development meeting for universities in the Dushu Lake Science and Education Innovation District was held at Xi’an Jiaotong-Liverpool University on 5 January 2018.

Huimin Xu, member of the Suzhou Standing Committee of the CPC and secretary of the Suzhou Industrial Park Party Working Committee, attended the meeting and stated that excellent Party development work will lead to the innovative development of higher education.

XJTLU, Renmin University of China Suzhou Campus and Xi’an Jiaotong University Suzhou Academy presented Party related work. Lixin Ding and Xiaoming Lin, members of Suzhou Industrial Park Party Working Committee and Administrative Committee were also in attendance.

Dr Minzhu Yang, vice president of XJTLU, reported on the Party development work at XJTLU. The XJTLU Party branch was formally established in 2007 and holds 2 training events each year with about 200 teachers and students submitting applications to join the Party annually.
