China National Health Commission (NHC) has released an announcement on December 26, 2022, starting from January 8, 2023, China will drop quarantine requirements for all passengers arriving from outside of the country's borders. And the restrictive Covid measures for travelers, including quarantines for positive patients and contact tracing.

The new change means from January 8, 2023, before coming to China, passengers to China are only required to take a nucleic acid test 48 hours before departure and those with negative results can enter the country without having to apply for a green health code from Chinese embassies and consulates abroad. They need to fill in the results in the customs health declaration forms. If they test positive, traveling to China will be allowed after the results turn negative.

As there are fewer restrictions for internationsl students to study in China, the good news is that for degree students can enter into China in Autumn Semester, 2023. Although the non-degree students can not come to China in Spring Semester 2023, but please be sure that all the international students can study in China soon.
