Jinan, alternately Romanized as Tsinan, is the capital of Shandong province in Eastern China. The area of present-day Jinan has played a very important role in the history of the region from the earliest beginning of civilization and has evolved into a major national administrative, economic, and transport hub. The city has held sub-provincial administrative status since 1994. Jinan is often called the "Spring City" for its famous 72 artesian springs.

Shandong Jianzhu University (SJU) is situated in Jinan, the beautiful capital city of Shandong Province, P. R. China. Shandong Province has a time-honored history and has served as a pivotal cultural and religious site for Taoism, Chinese Buddhism, and Confucianism. Shandong has emerged as one of the most populous and most affluent provinces in China. University Introduction

Founded in 1901, Shandong University is a key comprehensive university directly under the jurisdiction of the Ministry of Education of the People's Republic of China. It is one of the oldest renowned universities throughout the country and one of the high-ranking universities whose development is given priority by the state.

The main part of Shandong University is located in Jinan with several campuses, and it has a branch in Weihai, a coastal city in Shandong province. The current president is professor Zhan Tao, an outstanding mathematician.

  A: Offering scholarships of tuition fee for more than two years and beyond to the end of the professional learning period, and a monthly living allowance equivalent to the scholarship period (refer to the CSC Accommodation Standard)

  B: Offering scholarships of tuition fee for more than two years and beyond to the end of the professional learning period
