Zhejiang University of Technology (ZJUT) is a comprehensive key university owned both by the Zhejiang Provincial Government and the Ministry of Education. It offers programs in a variety of subjects including engineering, science, liberal arts law economics pharmaceutics, management, education, and so on. What's more, there are many kinds of scholarships offered for international students. 

1. Zhejiang Provincial Scholarship

The Zhejiang Government Scholarship sponsors students who are studying at or applying to study at higher education institutions in Zhejiang Province.

Ⅰ. Applicants:

1. Application form with ID photo (white background, 35mm×45mm in size).

2. A photocopy of my passport.

3. Senior high school diploma (original copy or notarized copy).

4. Graduating high school students can provide a pre-graduation Certificate. After admission, the original graduation certificate or notarized copy should be submitted.

5. Transcripts for all the courses in senior high school (original copy or notarized copy).

6. HSK certificate (for Chinese-instructed program applicants). After admission, the original copy should be submitted

7. TOEFL/IELTS or another score report of English language test (for English-instructed program applicants, whose native language is not English). After admission, the original copy should be submitted.

2. International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship

To satisfy the growing demand of the international community for Chinese language teachers and facilitate Chinese language education in other countries, the Center for Language Education and Cooperation (CLEC) will continue with the International Chinese Language Teachers Scholarship. As one of the acceptance institutions, the Zhejiang University of Technology welcomes outstanding students and currently-employed Chinese language teachers to apply for our university to study.

Ⅰ. Scholarship Eligibility

1. Non-Chinese citizens.

2. Should be friendly to China, have no criminal record, and abide by the laws and regulations of the Chinese government and the rules and regulations of the school.

3. Be in good physical and mental condition and with good academic performance and conduct.

4. Aspiring to work in Chinese language education and related fields.

5. Aged between 16 and 35 (as of September 1st, 2023 with the special allowance for the

age limit of 45 for applicants currently working as Chinese language teachers

Ⅱ. Scholarship Category

1. One-Academic Year

Commence in September 2023. The scholarship is subsidized for a maximum of 11 months. Applicants who have previously received similar scholarships will not be accepted.

2. One-Semester

Commence in September 2023 or March 2024. The scholarship is subsidized for a maximum of 5 months. Applicants holding the X1 or X2 visa are not eligible.

3. Scholarship for Master’s Degree in International Chinese Language Education

The program commences in September 2023, and the scholarship is provided for a maximum of two academic years. Applicants shall hold a Bachelor’s degree. Applicants shall have a minimum score of 210 on the HSK Test (Level 5) and 60 on the HSKK Test (Intermediate Level). Priority will be given to applicants who may provide an employment contract with a teaching institution upon completing their studies in China or proof to the same effect.

Ⅲ. Coverage and Standard

The scholarship supports tuition, accommodation, living allowance, and comprehensive medical insurance.

1. ZJUT uses the tuition fees for the education and management of scholarship recipients, and cultural programming. The scholarships for online programs provide support for tuition fees only.

2. Scholarship recipients may live off-campus upon application and approval from ZJUT. Under such circumstances, students are entitled to an accommodation allowance of RMB 700 per person/month paid by ZJUT.

3. The living allowance is paid to the scholarship recipients by ZJUT monthly. The monthly allowance for one-year study program students and one-semester study program students is RMB 2,500 per person; that for master’s students in International Chinese Language Education is RMB 3,000 per person.

4. The comprehensive medical insurance is purchased by ZJUT by applicable regulations on overseas students stipulated by the Ministry of Education of China. The insurance premium for one-semester study program students is RMB 400 CNY per person, and that for students studying more than one year is RMB 800 per person/year.

Applicants of the Scholarship for a Master’s Degree in International Chinese Language Education are required to provide two reference letters from professors or associate professors and an undergraduate certificate and transcript

3. ZJUT Scholarship

To encourage more excellent international students to study at the Zhejiang University of Technology, the Zhejiang University of Technology Scholarship (ZJUT Scholarship for short）is established. Usually, you can get a scholarship if you meet the following basic requirements.

a. Committed to Chinese laws, regulations, and rules of our school;

b. Well conducted with no illegal or criminal record;

c. Study hard with high scores;

d. Have completed registration and been accepted by our school

Of course, you will be disqualified if any of the following behavior is found in you

a. The application materials are fake

b. Failing to pay the tuition in time according to our regulations

c. Failing to register within the scheduled time

d. Violating school rules and Chinese laws during studying period

Ⅰ. Type of ZJUT scholarship

1. Excellence scholarship: equal to 4 years tuition fee(Bachelor) or 3 years tuition fee(Master or PhD)

2. Merit scholarship: equal to 1-year tuition fee

3. Friendly scholarship: equal to 1-semester tuition fee

4. Encouragement scholarship: equal to 1-year accommodation fee(4-bedroom)

4. Chinese Government Scholarship

I. Bilateral Program（Type A）

The program accords with the cooperation and exchange agreements or consensus reached by the Chinese government and the governments and institutions of other nations. It is open to undergraduates, postgraduates, and general and senior scholars.

An applicant shall apply with the dispatching department of their home countries.

II. University Program(Type B)

There are two kinds of scholarship for type B of CSC scholarship

1. University Postgraduate Scholarship

All the master’s and Ph.D. majors we provide for international students can be applied for University Postgraduate Scholarship

2. Silk Road Scholarship
