Grammy and CSU Co-built Joint Research Center for Resource Recycling Industry

On the morning of November 21, the signing ceremony for the joint research center for resource recycling industry co-built by CSU and Grammy Co., Ltd. was held in the third meeting room of Science and Technology Building. More than 50 people including President Zhang Yaoxue, Standing Vice President Huang Jianbai, Vice President Zhou Kechao, Xu Kaihua, Chairman of Grammy Co., Ltd., Executive Deputy General Manager Wang Min and Deputy General Manager Mou Jian   attended the signing ceremony.

At the signing ceremony, Professor Guo Xueyi, President of Resource Recycling Research Institute, CSU introduced the planning and cooperation agreement of “Joint Research Center for Resource Recycling Industry”. Zhang Yaoxue and Xu Kaihua on behalf of the two sides signed the Agreement on the Joint Research Center for Resource Recycling Industry Co-built by CSU and Grammy Co., Ltd.

 

According to the agreement, Grammy Co., Ltd. will donate a total of 80 million yuan for the establishment and development of joint research center for resource recycling industry. The two sides will exercise their respective advantages to build a joint international research platform for resource recycling, support the leading role of Grammy recycling industry’s global technology, enhance the global core competitiveness of China’s circulation industry, and promote the optimization and upgrading of university disciplines, providing key technical and personnel support for China’s green, low-carbon and circular development.

Chairman Xu Kaihua is an alumnus from Class 81 of Non-ferrous Metallurgical, CSU. He said, “as an alumnus of CSU, I have been deeply driven by the rigorous style of study, down-to-earth attitude toward life and the spirit of perseverance I fostered at school. The use of metallurgy knowledge has helped me a lot address such problems in China as excess production capacity and waste explosion. The agreement signed with my alma mater---CSU is in the hope that with the help of the complete non-ferrous metal subject chain and strong scientific research strength of CSU, we can create another glory for China’s industrial innovation of circular economy.” President Zhang Yaoxue said, “Chairman Xu Kaihua is our outstanding alumnus, who has been committed to promoting the cooperation between Grammy Co., Ltd. and our school in production and research development, which has made a number of fruitful cooperation achievements in the talent cultivation and innovation of science and technology.” He added that CSU would give full support to the construction of research center and jointly make new contributions to building a beautiful China. At the signing ceremony, President Zhang Yaoxue also presented the letter of appointment as part-time professor to Chairman Xu Kaihua.

Before the signing ceremony, Gao Wenbing, Secretary of the Party Committee met with the delegation led by Chairman Xu Kaihua.
