24 Senior Officials of Srilanka Received Training in HUST

On March 24th, Chinese Administrative Management Training Class for Sri Lanka Officials kicked off in HUST. 24 Srilanka Senior officials, coming from departments as Institute of Domestic Administration (SLIDA), Ministry of Education, Ministry of Higher Education, Ministry of Law, Ministry of Transportation, Ministry of Social Service, Investment Commission, The State Administration for Industry and Commerce, General Administration of Customs, will get a two-week training in HUST.

Through symposium, discussion, observation and panel report, 24 senior officials will learn about the innovation and practice in china’s public management including the application of china’s e-governance, government management and service innovation, civil servant management, anti-corruption, measures and achievements in clean government construction and grassroots community construction etc.

It’s introduced that Sri Lanka Institute of Domestic Administration (SLIDA) is the only institution in Sri Lanka to train senior government management personnel, so it’s widely influential in Sri Lanka. In 2013, the dean of SLIDA Badullage Wijayaratne and vice dean Thilakasiri paid a visit to HUST and then signed the cooperation agreement with HUST that both sides will make concerted efforts to train senior managerial experts for Sri Lanka government. This training class is the first stride of cooperation since the signing of the agreement in 2013. Thilakasiri expressed that civil servant training was only one of the contents of the cooperation agreement and later both sides would cooperate in more dimensions such as administrative management, postgraduate education etc. He looked forward to a long-lasting and fruitful bilateral cooperation.

Deputy director-general of HuBei Provincial Department of Education Huang Jian, director of the Division of International Cooperation and Exchange Liu Ligang, dean of Academic Affairs of SLADI Ranaweera and HUST vice President Duan Xianzhong attended the ceremony.
