Recently, the Shandong Provincial Department of Education issued the Notice on the Establishment of the Undergraduate Education Teaching Steering Committee of Shandong Province (2019—2022), and 28 professors of SDUT were selected the members of Shandong Provincial Undergraduate Education Teaching Steering Committee.

Among them, Prof. LYU Chuanyi, Professor ZHANG Tiezhu and Professor REN Chuanbo are respectively the directors of the Mechanical and Mechanical Basic Courses Teaching Steering Committee, the Transportation Professional Teaching Steering Committee, the Mechanics and Mechanics Foundation Courses Teaching Steering Committee. Professor YI Weiming and Professor ZHUO Shuping are respectively the deputy director of the Energy and Power Professional Teaching Steering Committee and the Chemistry Major and the University Chemistry Curriculum Teaching Steering Committee. Professor WEI Xiuting is the Secretary General of the Mechanical and Mechanical Basic Courses Teaching Steering Committee and the other 22 professors are respectively professional member of the fields or specialized work steering committees.

The Shandong Provincial Undergraduate Education Teaching Steering Committee is a very special organization of expert coordination consulting, guidance and service. It accepts the leadership and commission of the Provincial Department of Education to provide decision-making consultation, theoretical research, supervision and evaluation, education and teaching guidance and experience exchange for undergraduate education and personnel training in Shandong Province.

The establishment of the Shandong Provincial Undergraduate Education Teaching Steering Committee (2019—2022) aims to thoroughly implement the spirit of the Party's 19th National Congress and the national and provincial education conferences, comprehensively implement the party's educational policy, implement the fundamental tasks of strengthening morality education in cultivating people, and comprehensively revitalize the undergraduate education. Furthermore, it helps promote the connotative development of higher education, promote the deepening of teaching reform in higher education institutions in Shandong province, strengthen the basic construction of teaching, standardize teaching management, and enhance the ability and level of personnel training.

There are 62 professional or specialized steering committees, which are recommended by the provincial undergraduate universities and selected by the Provincial Department of Education based on extensive consultation. The term lasts 4 years from April 8, 2019 to December 31, 2022.

28 professors being selected into the Provincial Teaching Steering Committee, this has shown the full affirmation and recognition of the achievements of SDUT by the Shandong Provincial Department of Education in the discipline construction, undergraduate education and personnel training, which is conducive to the timely grasp of trends and directions of undergraduate education and teaching reform and further improves the implementation of the Three in One talent training system and cultivation of high-quality “Five-Have talents.
