BUCM Delegation Recruiting International Talents in US

  On March 28th, a BUCM delegation headed by President Xu Anlong paid a visit to the US to recruit excellent international professionals, aiming to add to the human resources at BUCM as part of the university’s effort to become a world-class university with first-class disciplines. About one hundred applicants showed up at the events.

  From March 28th to April 2nd, the delegation held exclusive career fairs at Harvard University, BUCM Chinese Medicine Center in the US, and Stanford University, attracting over a hundred students and researchers from a variety of American universities and research institutions. Based on a better understanding of BUCM through talks and meetings on the spot, they became rather enthusiastic about working at BUCM and had high expectations for the future of the university. Those who have been accepted will subsequently communicate with different schools of BUCM to discuss and finalize details regarding their work at BUCM.

  During his stay in America, President Xu met with Sandra L Fenwick, MD, President of Boston Children’s Hospital, Laurie H. Glimcher, MD, President of Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, and CK Peng, PhD, Director of Center for Dynamical Biomarkers and Translational Medicine,  Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Harvard Medical School, and Marc Shuman, MD, Director of Cancer Research Institute, University of California, San Francisco, among other experts. He had in-depth discussions with them about how to cooperate in tackling shared medical difficulties with integrated Chinese and Western medicine. At the meeting they have reached consensus on establishing cooperation in concrete terms.

  On the afternoon of March 30th, BUCM delegation attended upon invitation 2018 Beijing-North America Technological Innovation Summit in Boston and Cambridge.

  In the delegation were Tang Minke, Director of International Cooperation Department, Li Feng, Dean of School of Traditional Chinese Medicine, Lei Haimin, Dean of School of Chinese Materia Medica, Lu Tao, Vice Dean of School of Life Sciences, and Li Chenhui, Party Secretary of Second Affiliated School of Clinical Medicine.
