On July 15, more than 380 students from Zhuhai Branch came to Beijing Campus of Beijing Normal University to participate in the learning and practice activities of " Mother School, Beijing Tour " in 2019.
On the morning of July 16, Cheng Jianping, the Secretary of the Party Committee of Beijing Normal University, President Dong Qi, Li Xiaobing, the vice-president and Tu Qingyun, the vice-president and Zhuhai Campus headmaster, came to Beijing Normal University Square to visit all the teachers and students who participated in the activity of " Mother School, Beijing Tour ", and took pictures with teachers and students.
Cheng Jianping warmly welcomed the arrival of teachers and students of Zhuhai Campus. On behalf of the school, he presented his alma mater souvenir, the notebook of "BNUers", and the students returned him T-shirt with the alma mater badge to Secretary Cheng.
On behalf of the school, Dong Qi welcomed the students from the school to participate in the “Mother School, Beijing Tour” activities, and highly valued the significance of this activity. He pointed out that in the history of running schools in 117 years, Beijing Normal University has made important contributions to national liberation, national rejuvenation, and social development, and accumulated a profound cultural heritage. I hope that students will have an in-depth understanding of the alma mater's fineness in this activity. Tradition, development history and humanistic spirit, through professional research activities to understand the social situation, deepen professional understanding, enhance practical ability, experience the rich history of the capital and the style of modern metropolis through cultural visits, and more intuitively understand the 70 years’ brilliant achievements since the founding of New China. In the future, the alma mater will continue to deepen exchanges and cooperation between the two campus, providing more opportunities for Zhuhai campus students to lay a solid foundation, broaden their horizons and enhance their capabilities, and build a larger platform.
The “Mother School, Beijing Tour” activity is a feature and brand activity of the talent training work of Zhuhai Campus. Since its establishment in 2011, it has been successfully held for eight sessions, with more than 3,000 students participating. 2019 is the 70th anniversary of the founding of New China. It is also a key year for the transformation and upgrading of Zhuhai Campus. This year's "Mother School, Beijing Tour" activities focused on highlighting the theme of the times, strengthening the love of school, enhancing mutual exchanges, showing the school's style, and designing the theme. Reports, cultural performances, on-campus visits, exchange seminars, professional research and other colorful activities have promoted the development of the alma mater, understanding the comprehensive quality, and broadening the horizons.
