On October 12, 2011, Canadian Senate Speaker Noël A. Kinsella led a delegation to visit with Chairman of
the University Council Shi Yaqun at the Xueyuan Road Campus. The delegation and CUPL officials expressed
their intent to intensify current joint activities and also to promote more academic exchanges, especially among
Chinese and Canadian students.

Following the meetings, the Honorable Noël A. Kinsella held discussions with professors and graduates of CUPL’s
Institute of Human Rights.
