Chairman Huang Took a Visit at SMU

SMU News, Apr. 24 On Monday morning of April 17, the chairman Huang Yongqian, together with more than 40 entourages of Macao Association for the Promotion of Chinese Ethnic Unity, paid an exchange visit to SMU. The vice president En Jia met with these guests on Hangkonggang campus, and relevant staffs of the office of Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan Affairs as well as those exchange minority teachers and students to Macao in recent years attended the symposium.

En Jia extended the warm welcome to guests for their visit and introduced them to SMU’s history and basic conditions. Chairman Huang took a review of the work on cross-Strait national solidarity and exchange launched by the Association for the Promotion of Chinese Ethnic Unity in recent years. He also spoke highly of our excellent performances in such programs as “Chinese Cultural Exchange Week” our significant contributions to the promotion of the spreading and exchange of Chinese ethnic culture. At the meeting, participants also shared their feelings about exchange and cooperation between Macao and SMU.

En Jia made a conclusion that the Macao Association for the Promotion of Chinese Ethnic Unity has provided a great platform for SMU teachers and students to get further improvement. It is hoped that more higher-level exchanges and communication in academy, culture, and poverty-relief in ethnic areas shall be made.
