The important indicator of the 91st Oscar for the Best Sound Editing Awards—the 66th Motion Picture Sound Editors (MPSE) Golden Reel Awards recently announced its winners. Yang Qianbaihui, a graduate of Audio Director from School of Music and Recording Arts of CUC, won the 'Best Non-Cinematically Animated Feature Film Editing' award for Next Gen, and the Sound Engineering graduate Gu Jiaqing was shortlisted for the Student Unit Award.

Next Gen tells a story about the friendship with a top-secret robot turns a lonely girl's life into a thrilling adventure as they take on bullies, evil bots and a scheming madman.
MPSE’s Golden Reel Award is the most important annual award for the Motion Picture Sound Editors. It aims at rewarding individuals and collectives who gain outstanding achievements in the field of sound editing. Many award-winning works won the Oscar Best Sound Awards of the same year. Yang Qianbaihui majored in Audio Director and graduated from CUC in 2005. She has excellent academic performance and outstanding practical abilities. Recommended by CUC, she went to the University of Southern California for graduate study. After graduation, she participates in the sound production of many excellent works. Gu Jiaqing is a 2011 graduate of sound engineering. She is currently pursuing a master degree at the University of Southern California. She participated in the sound production of ChunHua and won the gold medal in the 45th 'Oscar Award' narrative film unit, her work love & loss won the silver award for documentary unit.
