On the afternoon of November 8, a delegation from Cummins Corporation, headed by the company's director of Global Community Development, Ms. Carole Casto, visited XJTU. The visitors were welcomed by Vice President LU Tianjian, who met with them in the meeting room of the Main Building. Later, Ms. Casto and her party met with the 14 women students who were recipients of Cummins Scholarships and Stipends. The Assistant President GONG Hui thanked the Cummins Corporation and said that the university very much appreciated their support. Ms. Casto encouraged the students to continue to work hard, and to look ahead to their future careers with confidence. In addition, she said that Cummins hoped to cooperate further with our university.
