From July 25th to July 30th, President Antonio Manuel da Cruz Serra, Vice President Eduardo Manuel Baptista Ribeiro Pereira and Dean of General Affairs Office Ana Maria Nunes Maduro Barata Marques of University of Lisbon visited Shanghai University. President Liu Shengchang and Vice President Gong Siyi of Shanghai University met with the guests, accompanied by Mr. Cui Wei, Director of International Office, Mr. Peng Zhangyou, Dean of Academic Affairs Office, Mr. Zhang Zhijiang, Deputy Dean of Graduate School, and Mr. Yang Midi, Deputy Dean of Financial Affairs Office. Relevant faculties from School of Mechatronic Engineering and Automation, Department of Civil Engineering and School of Environmental and Chemistry Engineering met with the delegation and exchanged views.
The main purpose for this meeting was to discuss details of the cooperation between the two sides in Joint Venture. Both sides achieved the agreement on the course plans for undergraduate and master program, teaching mode, financial mode and internal management structure for civil engineering, electrical engineering and environmental engineering disciplines and reached consensus on next work plan and timetable.
After the meeting, the delegation visited Key Laboratories from School of Mechatronic Engineering and Automation, Department of Civil Engineering and School of Environmental and Chemistry Engineering, SILC Business School at Jiading Campus and Building for Foreign Experts. The delegation expressed their satisfaction on teaching, researching and living facilities for future Joint Venture.
The University of Lisbon is the top comprehensive research university in Portugal, and ARWU ranks 150th to 200th in the world (2019). Its majors in geography, mineral engineering, architecture, civil engineering, electrical engineering, art design and sports ranked among Top 100 in the world.
