On June 29th, 2016, a delegation of 11, which included the president of Canadian Hockey Association Tom Renney, the chairman of 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympic Committee John Furlong and some Canadian embassy officials, came to visit Beijing Sport University. The president of BSU, Chi Jian, warmly welcomed the delegation and had a meeting with them.

During the meeting, President Chi Jian gave a brief introduction of our school and Mr. Tom Renney introduced the history and development of Hockey of Canada. Two sides exchanged ideas about future cooperation on hockey and discussed the cooperation on students and experts exchange. After the meeting, the delegation visited the National Training Base and other venues in the campus accompany by the teachers of Foreign Affairs Office.
