During October 24th to 28th, a delegation of University of Innsbruck from Austria came to Beijing Sport University for a visit. The delegation included the director of International Department, Dr. Barbara Tasser and two experts of winter events from Sports College, Prof. Werner Nachbauer and Prof. Michael Hassler. The deputy director of Foreign Affairs Office of BSU, Hua Yongmin, met with the delegation and discussed the affairs of establishing the cooperation relationship and developing cooperation on winter events between two university. After the meeting, the delegation visited the National Training Base, Tennis Complex and Sport Science Research Center in the campus.

During the visit, Dr. Barbara Tasser introduced the internationalization of University of Innsbruck to the students of Chinese International Education major from Institute of International Education. Prof. Werner Nachbauer and Prof. Michael Hassler had a seminar with the Prof. Lu Yifan from Department of Sports Rehabilitation and Prof. Liu Hui from the Sports Science College. They introduced the winter sports scientific research laboratory and the current situation of scientific research of University of Innsbruck. They also discussed the possibility of cooperation on winter sports between two sides.

Innsbruck is located in southern of Austria, which has hosted Winter Olympics for two times and once Youth Winter Olympics. The study in winter sports of University of Innsbruck also leads internationally. Strengthen the pragmatic cooperation between two universities will promote the development of winter sports in our school.
