On the morning of August 27th, in the Conference Hall of Museum of Nationalities at Wuhou Campus, President Zengming of SWUN met the delegation of the University of Ruhuna, Sri Lanka led by its President Gamin, Vice President Nayana and Director Nayana of the International Department. Also present at the meeting were SWUN’s Vice President Ding Keyi, President Assistant Li Gengnian, and directors of departments concerned.

President Zengming extended a warm welcome to the delegation on behalf of all the faculty and students consisting of 56 nationalities across China. After introducing the history and status quo of SWUN, he proposed deepening cooperation with the University of Ruhuna based on the framework agreement of strategic cooperation between the two sides. President Gamin briefly introduced the University of Ruhuna and its cooperative programs with some institutions of higher learning in China.

After the meeting, the Delegation of the University of Ruhuna visited the History Museum and the Ethnic Museum of SWUN accompanied by Vice President Ding Keyi, during which the delegates showed intense interest in the items displayed and thought highly of the achievements of SWUN.
