On the morning of Dec. 23, Deng Yunfeng, Executive Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Education Committee and Director of the Provincial Education Department, went to University of Jinan to inspect the 2019 National Postgraduate Entrance Examination. Zhang Zhiyong, first-level inspector of the Provincial Education Department, Zhang Lin, Secretary of the Party Committee and President of the Provincial Academy of Education Recruiment and Examination, Zhang Shiqiang, UJN President, and Chen Yuehui, UJN Vice-President, were in company.

Deng inspected the environment both around and inside the test site, and the supporting facilities and services. He went to the examination office, the video surveillance room and the examination room to inspect the implementation and organization of the examination, and had a detailed understanding of the implementation of the work flow and requirements of the test site. On behalf of the Provincial Recruitment and Examination Committee and the Provincial Education Department, he expressed his thanks to all examination staff.

President Zhang reported the organization of the examination. Attaching great importance to the National Postgraduate Entrance Examination, the university had made careful preparations in accordance with the requirements of its superiors, followed the examination norms and procedures, and prepared all emergency plans in advance, so as to create a fair, just and harmonious examination environment for examinees.

Deng spoke highly of the efforts UJN had made in the examination. He said the university leaders had attached their due importance, managed and organized the examination in a standardized way, and made publicity in a novel manner. He stressed that the university should further strengthen examination discipline so as to avoid any violations and ensure the fairness, openness and impartiality of the examination.

From Dec. 22 to 23, 1600 examinees took part in the 2019 National Postgraduate Entrance Examination at University of Jinan. During the examination period, more than 200 staff overcame the difficulties of early arrival, long working hours, complicated invigilation procedures and heavy tasks. They fulfilled their duties and ensured that the examination was carried out in an orderly manner.
