On May 30, the Asian Aerosol Research Assembly (AAAR) announced that Prof. Rong Wang from Department of Environmental Science and Engineering of Fudan University and Dr. Akiko Nakamura from Nagasaki University in Japan share the 2019 Asian Young Aerosol Scientist Award (AYASA). Prof. Chuen-Jinn Tsai, Chairman of the Asian Aerosol Research Association, presented the award to Prof. Rong Wang at the Asian Aerosol Conference 2019 to recognize his outstanding contribution to the global modeling of aerosol and air pollution. Tsai commented, “The selection committee were deeply impressed by the great achievements and quality of Rong’s work on aerosol modeling, which has substantially upgraded our understanding of interactions between aerosol and the climate system”.
