ECNU has recently signed an agreement with Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine to launch a traditional Chinese medicine research institute called Shanghai Institute of Modern Rehabilitation Medicine. In this agreement, both sides agreed to jointly foster all-round strategic cooperation, a development fund and united teaching faculty.

By playing to each other’s advantages, they also vowed to establish comprehensive strategic cooperation in discipline construction, talent training, scientific innovation and international cooperation, in order to boost the integration of education and medicine, while making concerted efforts to cultivate innovative, well-rounded and internationalized medical professionals.

Going as far back as 10 years, the two universities share a long history of friendship and cooperation during which they have trained more than 540 students since 2009.
