Forum for Outstanding Legal Talents on Global Governance Held in UIBE

The first high-end forum for outstanding legal talent on global governance was held in the University of International Business and Economics (UIBE)  on March 16, 2019.

 

 

Jointly hosted by the Law Education and Research Committee of the China Law Society, and the School of Law, UIBE, the forum was themed "cultivation of outstanding legal talents on global governance." Experts and scholars from law schools in over 40 colleges and universities including Peking University, Renmin University of China, and the China University of Political Science and Law, conducted in-depth discussions on topics like exploring the model, curriculum as well as experience sharing on the cultivation of outstanding legal talents on global governance.

 

 

President Wang Jiaqiong of the UIBE pointed out in his speech during the opening ceremony that cultivating "international talents with global vision and a strong grasp of international rules as well as the ability to participate in international affairs and competition" is a trend in law schools of Chinese universities.

 

 

Professor Zhang Wenxian, vice chairman of the China Law Society, said in his speech that promoting the reform of global governance and building a new world order is the focus of China's national strategic decision-making in the new era and also a historic topic of law education and research.
