On 18th December, Assistant President ZHENG Guangtian met with Jeffry Kaatz, Assistant Vice Chancellor of University of California, Riverside (UCR).

ZHENG welcomed Jeffry Kaatz and briefly introduced the achievements gained by BJTU in the construction of Double First Class Initiative as well as internationalization. He hoped the two universities could explore the possibility of students exchange, teachers exchange, and research collaboration in the field of traffic transportation, electronics and information, computer science as well as software engineering, etc.

Jeffry Kaatz appreciated the reception of BJTU. He stated that UCR attaches great importance to the collaboration with BJTU and hoped the two universities could expand the cooperation by faculty exchange as the first step.

During the meeting, participants from the two universities made a further discussion of the cooloberation in electronics engineering, computer science, traffic and transportation as well as software engineering, etc.

Principals of School of Electronic and Information Engineering, School of Computer and Information Technology, School of Traffic and Transportation, School of Software Engineering and Office of International Affairs attended the meeting.
