Irish Ambassador and Delegation of University of Limerick Visits BSU

On October 21st, 2016, a delegation of 20 from University of Limerick came to Beijing Sport University for a visit. The delegation was headed by the deputy secretary of Irish Department of Education, Mary Doyle, the Irish Ambassador to China, Paul Kavanagh, and the vice president of the University of Limerick, Paul McCutcheon. The vice president of BSU, Gao Feng, met with the delegation on behalf of BSU. During the meeting, two sides exchanged the opinions on sports, culture and education between Ireland and China, especially on how to expand and deepen the cooperation on education, scientific research and train between University of Limerick and BSU. At the end of the meeting, Paul Kavanaqh and Gao Feng respectively represented their own university and signed a Memorandum Of Understanding under the witness of the delegation. After the meeting, the delegation visited the National Training Base and watched the sports dancing class.

The delegation’s activities also included the Ireland-China Culture & Sports Exchange Day. The players from GAA Club came to our school and carried out skills exchange with the students of soccer major. The deputy secretary of Irish Department of Education Mary Doyle and the vice president of BSU Gao Feng attended the activity and announced the success of the activity.
