SMU News, Jan. 4 Recently, the results of the selection of the Highest International Impact Academic Journals of China in 2018 were announced. Among them Journal of Southwest Minzu University (Humanities and Social Sciences) was selected as one of the “Top 60 Excellent Chinese Journals with International Influence 2018”, ranking 30th place.

It is reported that since 2012, the Chinese Academic Journal (CAJ-CD) Electronic Magazine Co., Ltd. and the Tsinghua University Library jointly developed China Academic Journal International Citation Annual Report. The lists of “Highest International Impact Academic Journals of China” and “Excellent Chinese Journals with International Influence” were selected according to CI top 5% -10% in normal ordination. A more scientific journal impact clout index (CI) of the selection has been adopted, simultaneously considering two indicators into account: the journal impact factor (IF) and total citation frequency (TC), which can comprehensively reflect the academic influence of academic journals and quality level.
