On July 12th, 2018, eight people including LYU Chuanyi (SDUT Party Secretary), WANG Libin (Vice President) and YI Weiming (Vice President) as well as several entourages went to Jiaozhou to discuss the construction of SDUT Qingdao Research Institute with Jiaozhou City and Jiaozhou Economic and Technological Development Zone. The discussion and investigations had been participated by SUN Yonghong (Secretary of Jiaozhou Municipal Party Committee and Director of Administrative Committee of Jiaozhou Economic and Technological Development Zone), SONG Yemin (Executive Deputy Director of Management Committee), LIU Mingxian (Vice Mayor of Jiaozhou City), FANG Mingyi (Deputy Director of Management Committee of Jiaozhou Economic Development Zone), and responsible-persons of relevant departments.

In the Jiaozhou Economic and Technological Development Zone, LYU Chuanyi and his entourage inspected the premises and basic facilities that were placed in SDUT Qingdao Research Institute. LYU Chuanyi expressed his gratitude for the strong support given by Jiaozhou City and the Development Zone. He fully affirmed the preliminary work of SDUT Qingdao Research Institute and asked the relevant departments to actively promote the implementation of the cooperation agreement, increase the intensity of the work, settle in and operate it as soon as possible.

At the discussion, LYU Chuanyi said that the construction of SDUT Qingdao Research Institute was not only the responsibility of the university to promote the transformation of new and old kinetic energy and innovation-driven development, but also an inevitable measure for the school to recruit high-level talents to enhance the school's strength in school running. He expressed his gratitude for the concern and support given to the construction of SDUT Qingdao Research Institute by Jiaozhou City and the Development Zone. At the same time, He hoped that Jiaozhou City and the Development Zone would accelerate the settlement of land acquisition and other issues of SDUT Qingdao Research Institute and realize the full operation of the Institute as soon as possible.

SUN Yonghong said that Jiaozhou City and the Development Zone had been paying close attention to the construction of SDUT Qingdao Research Institute. It was very much expected that the Institute would be able to achieve its landing in Jiaozhou as soon as possible. In the next step, Jiaozhou City and the Development Zone would fully support and coordinately solve the problems emerged in the construction and development of the Institute, further increase policy support and active service, promote comprehensive cooperation between the school and the city, and achieve mutual benefits.

When presided over the discussion, SONG Yemin asked the relevant units and departments to seriously study and implement the relevant issues raised at the meeting, and to serve the development of SDUT Qingdao Research Institute with practical actions. The responsible-persons of Jiaozhou City and the relevant departments of the development zone who participated in the meeing gave their answers on relevant issues.

SDUT party committee (President) office, development planning department, science and technology department, logistics management department and the head of the planning and construction headquarters of SDUT Qingdao Research Institute had also participated in the investigation and research activities.
