University of Jinan (UJN) , Mar, 14:  On March 8-9, 2014, related leaders and experts from UJN Science and Technology Office (STO) and the School of Mechanical Engineering(SME) went to Qixia, Yantai City for production and research service.Yi Ranqiang, Deputy Mayor of Qixia City, with responsible officials from Bureau of Science and Technology, Development Zone of Qixia City and representatives from some enterprises in Qixia City, held exchange with the personnel from our university. Both parties first summarized the cooperation in the previous period, and then they made in-depth communication on building a platform for scientific cooperation between the university and local government (or enterprises), technical problem solving and training of specialized talents. A number of cooperation of intention has been reached. 

    During the stay in Qixia City, the  STO leaders and experts from UJN visited Shandong Zhonghe Agricultural Equipment Technology Co. Ltd., holding the open ceremony for "Research Center for Jida-Zhonghe Intelligent Plant Protection Robot Technology", which is set up relying on UJN School of Mechanical Engineering.

    Shandong Zhonghe Agricultural Equipment Technology Co. Ltd. is a specialized manufacturing enterprise with agricultural plant protection machinery as its main business. It mainly manufactures agricultural plant protection machinery and small full hydraulic crawler excavators. It also produces spare parts for engineering machinery and agricultural machinery as its supporting business. Zhonghe company has developed a good relationship with UJN. For many times, quite a number of scholars from the School of Mechanical Engineering go to Zhonghe company for technical service. They have done a lot of work in intelligent control and optimal design of plant protection machinery. In the meantime, the company provides convenience to UJN for students' practice. 

UJN and the Local Government Signed the Agreement.

      
    The establishment of "Research Center for Jida-Zhonghe Intelligent Plant Protection Robot Technology" is helpful for exploiting respective advantages and will become a major platform for supporting enterprises in technical innovation, the university's production and research, and talent training.
