On the morning of May 30th, 2019 Conference on Publicity work, Ideology and Culture (i.e. Party Construction and Ideological Political Education Research Institute Annual Conference) was held in Lecture Hall 3 of Laoshan campus. University leaders including Ma Lianxiang, Zhang Shuhua, Wei Dianhua, Chen Kezheng, Li Yong and Lv Wanxiang attended the conference, which was presided over by University vice president Chen Kezheng.
In his speech, Ma Lianxiang, the Secretary of the QUST CPC Committee and University president, pointed out that thoughts are the lead o
faction, the theory is the guide of practice, and awareness is the source of motivation. It is necessary to find out the starting point and the foothold of publicity and ideological and cultural work. Besides, we should win the trust of teachers and students with excellent work style, gather our strength, practice the spirit of hard working and striving for actual results, concentrate on our work and duties, and greatly promote investigation and research.We should also enhance the appeal ofthe Work with the achievements of the distinctive imprint of the times and the characteristics of QUST.
It is of great significance and glorious mission to do a good job in the work this year, and the whole school should be guided by Xi Jinping's thoughts on socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era and the spirit of the 19th CPC National Congress, Ma Lianxian stressed. We will strive to create a new situation in schoolwork, realize the goal of building a "double-first-class" and "five-haves" high-level university, and celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of New China with outstanding achievements!
Vicepresident Wei Dianhua delivered the work report titled "Taking a clear-cut stand in politics and striving for development around the overall situation and constantly improving the new realm of party building and ideological and political work". When presiding over the meeting, Chen Kezhengstressed that party members, school leaders, teachers and students should conscientiously study and implement the requirements put forward by president Ma.
At the conference, leaders of schools and colleges signed responsibility statements on ideological work.
