RUC Leaders Meet with School of Business Alumni ZOU Gang and ZHOU Mingde

On May 25th, ZHOU Mingde, President of the School of Business alumni and investor of Shenzhen Panorama Group Co., Ltd. and ZOU Gang, Chairman of Beijing Phoenix City Group, Vice Chairman of the Beijing Federation of Industry and Commerce, and Director of RUC School of Business Alumni Association, visited the school. They came to discuss the new building construction plan for the School of Business. JIN Nuo, Secretary of the Party Committee of Renmin University of China and Chairman of the Education Foundation, met with ZHANG Jianming, Executive Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Executive Vice Chairman of the Education Foundation, and HE Yaomin, Vice President of the Education Foundation.

 

 

ZHANG Jianming thanked alumnis ZOU Gang and ZHOU Mingde for their continued care and support for RUC. He stated that on the 80th anniversary of the school, alumnus ZOU Gang donated 100 million RMB to support the construction of the new building of the School of Business, and donated education with intellectual support, reflecting the sense of social responsibility and mission that entrepreneurs have the courage to take on. Admirably moved, Renmin University will carefully manage and rationalize this donation, and will not forget the original intention of building a new business school building with the style and characteristics of a large business school. It will go all out to promote the implementation of the construction plan for the new building of the business school, further improve the school environment, and enhance research hardware, to  promote the continued development of school education.

 

 

ZOU Gang made suggestions for the construction plan for the new building of the School of Business and stated that giving back to his alma mater was his long-cherished wish. Although he graduated for many years, he always felt proud of his alma mater and he felt sincerely for the achievements made by the school and the college. Facing the new era, construction and high-level training are facing new challenges in the context of global business discipline competition. First-rate business schools need to have matching first-rate facilities. We hope that on the basis of the original agreement, we will adapt to changes, seize opportunities, actively communicate and adjust, and work together to promote the construction of new buildings for business schools.

 

 

ZHOU Mingde analyzed the situation faced by the new building of the School of Business. He said that the construction of the new building should be subject to the strategic arrangements in line with the development of the school, adapt to new policy changes, seize the opportunities and opportunities, and refine the site selection, planning, design, and other specifics. On the other hand, we must step up and implement it steadily. The alumni will continue to pay attention to the development of their alma mater, support the construction of their alma mater, and contribute to the construction of the university as a world-class university.

 

 

At the meeting, the participants conducted in-depth exchanges and discussions on the overall planning and specific details of the new building of the School of Business.

Dean MA Jiye of the Business School, Director of the New Campus Construction Office and Director of the Campus Construction Management Office LI Ming, Secretary of the Education Foundation Guo Haiying, and Deputy Director of the School Office QIAO Peng were also in attendance.
