On the morning of July 21, 2018, SDUT and  Zibo City Bureau of Education held a ceremony in the conference room on the first floor of Hongyuanlou Building to sign a strategic cooperation agreement on education and teaching which symblozied the official beginning of integration of higher education and basic education in Zibo City and also open a new page of the history of the deep integration of urban education and teaching.

The ceremony was attended by ZHANG Tiezhu (deputy secretary of the school Party Committee, and the president of SDUT), YU Jun (secretary of the Party Committee of Zibo City Bureau of Education and director of the Bureau), WEI Xiuting (member of the Standing Committee of the Party Committee, vice president of SDUT), and WANG Shijun (member of the Party Committee of Zibo City Bureau of Education, deputy director); and it was also attended by the heads of the schools and the relevant departments of the Zibo City Bureau of Education, the directors of the education and sports bureaus of all districts and counties of Zibo City, the heads of city-levelled middle schools, and their teachers representatives.

ZHANG Tiezhu gave a speech which briefly introduced the basic situation of SDUT and the major achievements in education and teaching in recent years. He pointed out that the strategic cooperation in education and teaching was a major measure to deepen the integration of SDUT and Zibo city which would promote the three in one of local government, higher education institutes, and primary and secondary schools to coordinate different education, build a symbiotic and win-win teacher education development of joint education mechanism, make joint efforts to build teachers' professional skills training centers and other initiatives so as to effectively construct Zibo as a powerful educational city and improve the quality of various schools’ personnel training. The signing of the agreement marked a new chapter in the history of deep integration of the school education and teaching, which would further enhance the level of teaching and educating and enrich social contribution of both sides, and produce fruitful results of collaborative education.

YU Jun said in his speech that the signing of the agreement marked the establishment of a cooperation mechanism between Zibo City Bureau of Education and SDUT. Since SDUT has rich educational resources and a strong team of teachers and many majors in SDUT are in the leading position in China, the integration and development of the two sides would complement each other, promote each other and develop mutually. He said that Zibo City Bureau of Education would be based on reality and fully support and serve the development of SDUT. The municipal bureaus should take the initiatives to connect with SDUT, make the contents of the agreement concrete and project-oriented, promptly organize and implement them, and transform them into tangible results as soon as possible.

WEI Xiuting and WANG Shijun signed a strategic cooperation agreement on behalf of both parties. According to the agreement, the two sides would jointly establish a school-City education and teaching cooperation mechanism, carry out collaborative teaching and research, implement teacher mutual engagement, and promote innovation and invention education. They would jointly build teachers' vocational skills training center, implement joint education, establish a practical intern-base for normal university students, improve the information-based teaching and resource sharing platform and strengthen the construction of teachers’ sports and aesthetics education. In order to guarantee the implementation of the agreement, the two sides would establish a strategic cooperation leading group and a university alliance of Zibo as the organization.

In a warm atmosphere, ZHANG Tiezhu issued the letters of appointment for the “Specially Appointed Professors of SDUT” and YU Jun issued the letters of appointment for “Zibo City Education Guidance Experts” and “Specially Appointed Teachers for Primary and Secondary Schools”.
