The editorial office of Shaanxi Normal University Journal was honored as one of the Excellent Editorial Teams for Sci-tech Journals in China’s Universities and awarded a Certificate of Honor by the Department of Science and Technology of the Ministry of Education of China, in an awarding meeting held at Changsha city on Nov 5, 2013. The members of the editorial team are Zhang Huiming, Wang Yong, Cheng Qinjuan and Li Bo.

The meeting, attended by more than 400 people representing science and technology journals of Chinese universities and colleges, was meant to encourage the publishers and editors of these journals to further improve the quality and impact of their journals and to recognize their innovation and contribution. Thirty editorial teams, twenty editors-in-chief and fifty editors were awarded at the meeting. Officials from the Publication Bureau of the Publicity Department of the CPC Central Committee, the Ministry of Education and the Ministry of Science and Technology also attended the meeting and presented the awards to the winners.

In the past ten years, the influence factor and total citations of the Natural Science Edition of Shaanxi Normal University Journals have always ranked among the top few in the comprehensive sci-tech journals and journals published by teacher training institutions in China, and it has won the Award of Choice Sci-Tech Journals by Chinese Universities and Colleges for four consecutive times in the years of 2006, 2008, 2010 and 2012. Its editors were awarded the titles of Advanced Team, Top Ten Editorial Office, Outstanding Editor-in- Chief and Excellent Editors for multiple times.
