School of Business Administration earns AACSB International Accreditation

Date: August 2, 2019

The School of Business Administration (SBA) of SCUT has earned accreditation from the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International (AACSB International), according a latest decision announced by the AACSB board in July, affirming a 5-year business accreditation to the SBA.

“AACSB accreditation recognizes institutions that have demonstrated a focus on excellence in all areas, including teaching, research, curriculum development, and student learning.” said Stephanie M. Bryant, Executive Vice President and Chief Accreditation Officer of the AACSB.

“South China University of Technology’s commitment to earning accreditation is a true reflection of their dedication -- not only to their students, alumni network, and greater business community, but to the higher education industry as a whole.”

Founded in 1916, the AACSB is the longest-serving global accrediting body for business schools, and the largest business education network connecting students, educators, and businesses worldwide.

Synonymous with the highest standards of quality, AACSB accreditation inspires new ways of thinking within business education globally and, as a result, has been earned by only 5 percent of the world’s schools offering business degrees at the bachelor’s level or higher.

“Becoming AACSB accredited is a far-reaching milestone on the school’s path to materializing its vision: to become an internationally renowned business school rooted in the management practice in South China.” Said Hu Yiwu, Executive Dean of the SBA.

“It is likewise a timely acknowledgement and payoff to the stakeholders of the school who have diligently devoted themselves to this worthy cause in the past several years. We aspire to perform even better via mutually beneficial partnerships with other AACSB family members in this never-ending process of pursuing excellence.”
