Recently, the General Office of the Central Propaganda Department and the General Office of the Ministry of Education jointly issued document,making public the list of the third batch of National Key Schools of Marxism.Schoolof Marxism of Shandong Normal University was successfully selected.

Constructing the national key School of Marxism is a strategic measure taken by the CPC Central Committee to promote the construction of the "four platforms" for theoretical work, an important measure for deepening and expanding Marxist theoretical research as well as the propaganda and education in the new era, and a fundamental requirement for consolidating the guiding position of Marxism in the ideological field. Recently,the Central Propaganda Department and the Ministry of Education has organized the third batch of evaluation for National Key School of Marxism. After careful evaluation and on-the-spot investigation, 16 Schools of Marxism including that of SDNU have been identified as the third batch nationalkey School of Marxism. Upto now, a total of 37 Schools of Marxism of colleges and universities in the country have been designated as the national key School of Marxism, two of them are in Shandong Province,which are the School of Marxism of Shandong Normal University and Shandong University.
