On October 9, the 121thShuangqing Forum of National Natural Science Foundation of China(NSFC) was held in the multi-function hall of Bochuan Library. The theme of it was “Theory and Key Technology of Robot”. Academician Yang Wei, secretary and director of NSFC, academician Yao Jiannian, deputy director of NSFC, academician Gao Wen, academician Chai Tianyou, academician Yang Xuejun, academician Feng Xisheng, Guo Dongming, president of Dalian University of Technology and academician Zhong Wanxie attended this forum.
This forum contained five topics, which were material construction, mechanical and electronic drive, perception control, bionic intelligent and element integration. During the discussion, attendants exchanged their opinions and offered great suggestions for the development of theory and key technology of robots as well as the “Thirteenth Five-year” plan.
President Guo expressed his sincere gratitude to NSFC for its strong support and hoped that all the attendants could give some valuable suggestions for the development and construction of Dalian University of Technology. Also, he believed that this forum would further promote China’s development in the field of robots.
Academician Ding Han indicated that this forum raised new challenges for robots’ studies. He hoped that the experts could lead the research of robots in China to a new direction during the forum.
Academician Yang Wei introduced his own understanding on robots’ researches and wished the forum a great success.
Held 20 times a year, Shuangqing Forum is an academic symposium proposed by NSFC, aiming at promoting the construction of innovation culture and creating a great innovation environment.
