A few days ago, Southeast University convened the 1st high-level forum on outstanding young talents at Sipailou Campus. Vice President Liu Pan of Southeast University, leaders from the Organization Department of Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Department of Human Resources and Social Security, the Provincial Department of Education, the Organization Department of Nanjing Municipal Committee, the CPC Organization Department of Southeast University, the CPC Propaganda Department, the CPC Teachers Work Department, the Academic Affairs Office, the Personnel Department, the Scientific Research Institute, the Finance Department, the General Affairs Department and other high-level young talents representatives attended the forum.

In his speech, Vice President Liu Pan expressed his welcome and gratitude to the leaders and young talents present in the forum, introduced the basic situation and future development direction of Southeast University's history evolution, discipline construction and personnel training, etc.. He said that 2019 would continue to witness the “Year of Talents” of Southeast University and also an important year for the school to comprehensively implement the 13th Five-Year Plan, deepen comprehensive reform in an all-round way and accelerate the construction of double first-class construction. Southeast University is shouldering new missions, greeting new journey and new challenges in the new era.         Leaders present in the meeting exchanged ideas and discussed on the talent work of colleges and universities in the new era. Li Binglong, Deputy Director of the Talents Division of the Organization Department of Jiangsu Provincial Committee, introduced the basic situation of “333 Program” training target and the “Introduction Plan of High-level Innovation and Entrepreneur Talents” in Jiangsu Province in combination with the talent development process and status quo of Jiangsu Province. Gao Fei, Director of the Talent Work Division of the Organization Department of Jiangsu Provincial Party Committee, put forward a number of precautions in the talent work in combination with the experience and thinking about talent work. Guo Xinyu, Deputy Director of the Teaching Staff Division of Jiangsu Provincial Education Department, gave a report on the construction of high-level talents in colleges and universities. He introduced the achievements made by Jiangsu Province in the fields of discipline construction, team building and personnel training, etc., and shared his major experience in high-level talent team construction at colleges and universities in Jiangsu Province. Wang Jingquan, Director of the Personnel Department of Southeast University, gave a report on the work of talents in Southeast University. He introduced the construction of the Year of Talents in 2018, the talent engineering system of Southeast University and the talent introduction system in Southeast University, etc.
