Traditionally, the Mid-Autumn Festival is a time for family reunions. However, many first-year students spent the holiday away from home and their loved ones. In an effort to help ease their feelings of uncertainty, the University prepared exquisite postcards for students to deliver heartfelt greetings to their families. Many interactive games and souvenirs were also arranged and, students were encouraged to express their thoughts by writing their wishes and feelings on the message board.

Zhang Miao, a student representative from the School of Chemical Engineering and Technology, said: “From Green Passage to the Mid-Autumn Festival and looking to further study and life here, I felt the great charm of Tianjin University in its welcoming and family-like warmth. I really love Tianjin University!”

TJU also sent Mid-Autumn Festival gifts to 317 students facing financial challenges to let them know that we are all one big family and here for each other. The gift package included a box of TJU’s specially made moon cakes designed with TJU’s logo patterns and a box of honey.
