One hundred and six works were exhibited on the Second SNNU Student Extracurricular Academic and Sci-tech Works Expo which opened on December 8, 2013 in the gymnasium on the Yanta campus of the university. The exhibition moved to the Xinyong Student Activities Center on the Chang’an campus on December 15.

The Expo, which was themed “Technology, dream and future”, was co-sponsored by the university’s Student Affairs Department, Teaching Affairs Department, Graduate School, Science and Technology Department, Social Science Department and the Communist Youth League.

Three hundred and one works from 728 students were collected since July and 106 works from 276 students made into the final contest. These 106 works are awarded the Special Prize, First Prize, Second Prize and Third Prize in the four categories of invention, academic papers in philosophy and social science, social investigation reports and academic papers in natural science.

These works, 46 by undergraduate students, another 46 by master’s candidates and 14 by doctoral candidates, cover the disciplines and fields of physics, electronics, chemistry and chemical engineering, life science, history, philosophy, politics, economics, music and fine arts, etc.

The exhibition is in the forms of introduction on display boards, physical exhibits, on-site demonstration and questions and answers.

President Fang Yu, Prof. Si Xiaohong, vice chairman of University Affairs Committee, visited the expo, together with other university officials.
