On the morning of December 13, 2014，the Symposium for “Cultural Resources of Tibet-Qiang-Yi Corridor and Semiotic Study of Ethnic Heritages” and the Working Conference for Collaborative Innovation Center were held at the International Academic Meeting Hall in the southern part of SWUN Airport campus. The conference was hosted by Southwest University for Nationalities(SWUN) and Sichuan University, co-organized by Collaborative Innovation Center for Chinese Multi-ethnic Cultural Heritages and Cohesiveness.  

Present at the opening ceremony of the conference were Xiang Chu, Director of the Collaborative Innovation Center (CIC), Chao Shunqing, Dean of Literature and Journalism College of Sichuan University as well as Standing Vice Director of CIC Council, An Yan, Director of the Comprehensive Division ofthe Education, Science and Technology Bureau, State Ethnic Affairs Commission,Wang Kang, Deputy Director of Education Commission of Sichuan Province, Zeng Ming, President of SWUN, Xu Weilin, Vice President of Sichuan University,KekeYuelin, Deputy Secretary of CPC Committee of SWUN, E’er Henba Yaer, Vice President of Inner Mongolia University, Li Zhenyuan, Vice President of Northwest University for Nationalities, Tan Hong, Vice President of Chongqing University of Arts and Sciences, Tang Xiaoqing, Deputy Director of the Institute of Ethnic Literature of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Zhong Jinwen, Dean of Literature and Journalism College of Minzu University of China, Alai, Chairman of Writer’s Association of Sichuan Province, Cai Hua, Professor from Peking University, Peng Zhaorong, Professor from Xiamen University, Liu Lili,Professor from Nankai University, Albert Piet, Professor from West Paris Nanterre La Defense University, France, Pan Dan, Fellow from University of Perugia, Italy. The opening ceremony was presided over by Wang Yong, Vice President of SWUN.  

On behalf of the Education Commission of Sichuan Province, Wang Kang delivered a speech with the focus on how universities in Sichuan Province would participate in the “2011 collaborative innovation program” by integrating all related resources. On behalf of SWUN, Zeng Ming, also Standing Director of CIC Council, addressed the conference with the commitments that SWUN would strive to integrate all its advantageous resources to promote collaborative innovation and make more contributions to fostering CIC. Xu Weilin, Vice President of Sichuan University, representing liaison institutions, and E’er Henba Year, Vice President of Inner Mongolia University, representing collaborative institutions, also made speeches at the conference to express gratitude to the collaborative institutions for their hard work and convey congratulations to the convention of this symposium.
