In the morning of October 25th, 2016, Dr. Stuart Jones, the vice President of Springfield College, Dr. Tracey Matthews, the dean of College of Health, Sports and Recreation, and Ms. Deborah Alm , the director of International Center, came to visit Beijing Sport University and attended the 35th Anniversary Ceremony of Institutional Partnership Between Springfield College and Beijing Sport University. The general secretary, Yang Hua, and the president, Chi Jian, warmly welcomed the delegation and had a meeting with them. The director Jin Xiaoping, deputy director Dong Mei and teacher Hong Ping from Foreign Affairs Office, Prof. Wang Huazhuo, the dean of Physical Education Institute and some teachers once studied in Springfield College also attended the meeting.
In the afternoon, the delegation took part in the 4th- Forum of Beijing Sport University-Springfield. The forum was chaired by Deputy Director Hua Yongmin from Foreign Affairs Office. President Chi Jian, Director Jin Xiaoping and teacher Hong Bin from the Foreign Affairs Office also attended the forum. During the forum, two sides exchanged academic points. The symposium exhibited Dr. Stuart Jones's presentation-Academic Exchange and Cooperation between Beijing Sport University and Springfield College, Dr. Tracy Matthews's report-The Study of Sitting Behavior of Students in Springfield College, Prof. Wang Huazhuo’s theme- Research on China's Outstanding Sports Teachers’ Training under the Background of Modernization of Education and Prof. Li Hongjuan’s report-Chinese children and adolescents’ Physical Monitoring System.
Springfield College is one of institutions who are closely related to the Chinese sports field. For 35 years, the two schools have made many important cooperation and got great rewards. The exchange activities and forums’ holding are good ways to promote mutual trust, mutual benefit and friendship between two universities, so that both sides could got beneficial promotion on education career.
