18 May, the 6th Global Alumni Association Meeting of East China Normal University was held in Nanjing, where alumni associations of the United States, Canada, Australia, Japan, Singapore, Hong Kong, and over 30 provincial associations in China attended to show their support for ECNU.

Vice president Sun Zhenrong delivered a welcoming speech at the beginning of the meeting. He introduced recent achievements of ECNU by pointing out its discipline development, team-building, moral cultivation, international cooperation and social services. “The rapid development of ECNU is inseparable from the care and support from ECNU alumni,” he said in his speech.

 

Vice president Sun Zhenrong delivered a welcoming speech.

 

In the alumni association’s 2018 report, composed by Secretary General of Alumni Association Xing Xianghe, he stressed the ideals for the gathering in order to strengthen alumni ties, contribute to the school’s development, expand alumni services, enhance the influence of alumni work, and eventually create a lifelong community between alumni and ECNU.

At the meeting, an opening ceremony - “Alumni Home” - was held, which after its completion would serve as a reception house for returning alumni in addition to holding culture seminars.
