On April 8, the delegation under the leadership of David Richardson, President of the University of East Anglia, visited Southeast University. Managing Vice President Wang Baoping met with the delegation and both parties expressed their willingness to deepen exchanges and cooperation. Relevant principals from the School of Biological Sciences and Medical Engineering and the International Cooperation Office attended the meeting.
Wang Baoping, Executive Vice President, put forward three suggestions for the cooperation between the two universities in the future: first of all, he expected to expand the school-level cooperation between the two universities in terms of advantageous disciplines including energy, environment and computer based on the cooperation in the existing biomedical field; secondly, both universities could develop cooperation in education and personnel training through various activities such as joint training of students, student communication and exchange programs, and summer camps, etc.; thirdly, efforts should be made to promote personnel exchanges between the two universities, encourage scientific research cooperation among professors, and promote communication and exchange between the two universities. He expected that the two universities could work together to promote and deepen the pragmatic cooperation between both parties.
President David Richardson highly appreciated the suggestions proposed by Managing Vice President Wang Baoping. He expressed that he would work with Southeast University to further explore the possibility of pragmatic cooperation in various fields on the basis of existing cooperation and implement in-depth cooperation at the school level through diversified forms of communication such as workshop so as to open a new chapter in cooperation between the two universities.
