Three projects submitted by Shaanxi Normal University in application for the 2014 Sports Philosophical and Social Science Research Projects were approved as Ordinary Projects by the State Physical Culture Administration.

Two of the three projects were submitted for review by the School of Physical Education and the third was by the International Business School. The three teachers are Ma Liangpeng and Wan Bingjun of the School of Physical Education and Wang Qinmei of the International Business School.

The fact that one of the projects is by a researcher from the International Business School suggests that the research in sports is not limited to the area itself, but involves the interdisciplinary efforts from experts from the fields of economics, management and history.

This year, SNNU submitted ten projects for review and three of them were approved. Its 30% percentage is much higher than the national average, which is 16.5% with 144 projects approved out of 872 applications.
