Three faculty members were listed in the “2013 New Century Outstanding Talent Support Plan”, according to a recent notice by the Ministry of Education.

The three teachers are Li Huacheng of the School of History and Culture, Liu Jing from the School of Chemistry and Chemical Engineering and Zhu Qinghe from the School of Journalism and Mass Communications. They are granted a research fund of RMB 200,000 yuan each.

The Support Plan is meant to support young academic leaders to carry out educational reform and conduct innovative research in major scientific, technological, engineering, philosophical and social science areas and at international forefront. It aims at accelerating the development of young academic leaders and tiptop innovative talents, promoting the creative strength of higher learning institution in original research, and enhancing their academic level and quality of talent cultivation.

In recent years, SNNU has been giving continuous support to its young teachers via various channels and at least three to five young teachers were listed in the Support Plan.
