Beijing Municipal Education Commission announced The List of Top Disciplines Among Universities in Beijing on May 17. The list covers 99 advanced disciplines from 53 universities of Beijing including two inter-disciplines from CUC - Internet Information and Cultural Industry. Disciplines which were awarded will obtain funding in the course of their construction cycle.

These advanced disciplines were appraised by experts, aiming to push forward the adjustment and optimization of the discipline layout of Beijing universities, and thus to promote the further integration and development of disciplines, forming a group of first-class characteristics disciplines as well as rising and cutting-edge inter-disciplines. This serves as part of the establishment of Beijing's “four center” strategy and the construction of a harmonious and livable capital.

In recent years, CUC has made remarkable achievements in discipline construction. Winning the awards by the two disciplines of CUC is a proof that the university is on the right way forward. In the future, CUC will continue implementing the institutional reform, while accelerating the pace of building a world-renowned university in media and communication studies.
