The University of International Business and Economics (UIBE) and the Astana International University (AIU) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) in an effort to promote academic cooperation.

AIU president Irsaliyev Serik Aztayevich visited the UIBE on May 8. Jiang Qingzhe, party chief of the UIBE, met with him and welcomed him to the university.

Jiang hoped the two schools could take the opportunity of President Aztayevich’s visit to promote pragmatic cooperation and complement each other's strengths for the high-quality of talents cultivation.

President Aztayevich thanked Jiang for his warm reception. He introduced AIU’s history, its discipline establishment and international cooperation as well as exchanges, with a special mention of exchanges with China on cooperation platforms and academic resources. Aztayevich said AIU is a fast-growing young university and also places an emphasis on internationalization as UIBE does. He expected more cooperation between the two sides to promote all-round and deeper exchanges.
