At the invitation of the vice president of Politecnico di Milano Professor Giancarlo Spinelli and the vice president of Politecnico di Torino Professor Carlo Naldi, a delegation from XJTU led by Vice President JIANG Zhuangde visited the two universities on November 2 and November 3.

On November 2, the delegation met with Professor Spinelli of Politecnico di Milano. The two parties signed an agreement regarding the exchange of undergraduates and graduate students between the two universities. Vice President JIANG and Vice President Spinelli reviewed the progress of the double doctorate projects supported by the European Union's Erasmus Mundus program and the China Scholarship Council (CSC) as well as the research cooperation in the field of electrical engineering since the two universities signed the framework agreement on cooperation.

On November 3, Vice President JIANG and his party visited Politecnico di Torino and met with Rector Francesco Profumo and Vice Rector Carlo Naldi. The two schools finalized an agreement establishing double degree programs at the undergraduate level and at the masters level in architecture.
