In October 2013, Dr. Zhou Zhengchao, vice professor of School of Tourism and Environmental Studies won the 12th “National Youth Geographic Technology Award”, according to the Geographic Society of China.
The Award was established in 1991 by the Geographic Society of China, and it commends no more than 10 young geographers with the award once in two years, in accordance with its rules. Its purpose is to commend young geographers who have made considerable contributions in the development of national economy, social progress and technological innovation, so as to promote the growth of geographic talents.
