From June 2nd to 3rd, in the 2019 China-US Makers Competition (Beijing Division) hosted by the Ministry of Education, five teams consisting of students from the Psychology Department of Beijing Normal University were standing out and won the first and second place in the Beijing Division respectively among Peking University, Tsinghua University, Beijing University of Posts and Telecommunications, China University of Mining and Technology and many other universities, the total 58 student teams, achieving three consecutive championships in the Beijing Division in 2017-2019.

Beijing Normal University Psychology Department Applied Psychology Master User Experience (UX) Direction Students Participate in the China-US Chuangke Competition (Beijing Division)

In this competition, the team of Psychology Department of Beijing Normal University sent a total of 13 teams, of which 5 teams entered the top 15. After the fierce competition in the rematch, the “invisible guardian” designed and produced by the “Guardian for Yours” team focused on the current social hotspots and designed a smart decoration for the lone women at night. The product uses human body gesture recognition technology based on deep learning. The GSM alarm development was carried out, and the product design was exquisite and portable, and the psychological, design, technology and business were perfectly integrated. The "Glyphs" team based on the wisdom of the classroom, the wisdom of the silent microphone "transcend" and "centrifugation" team designed based on the "Healthy China 2030 Plan" wearable fitness product "HOLA HOP" also won the praise of the judges. Finally won the second place.

The Department of Psychology of Beijing Normal University has won the second prize of Beijing District Competition of Sino-US Makers Competition by applying UX to "Legend" and "HOLA HOP"

The three award-winning teams will participate in the national competition in July on behalf of the Beijing Division and represent the Beijing Youth Maker team and the American Maker team. I look forward to the better results of the Beijing Normal University.

The China-US Youth Maker Competition is hosted by the Ministry of Education and is an important part of the Sino-US social and humanistic dialogue mechanism. The theme of this competition is “To create the future together”. Beijing Normal University is one of the first 18 units of the Ministry of Education to be listed in the China-US Youth Maker Exchange Center, and is the only selected college. With the support of the school, the Psychology Department of Beijing Normal University has taken the "integrated research, classification and training" as the guiding ideology since 2013, and has carried out innovative and entrepreneurial talent training, and has achieved fruitful professional master training results.
